Farewell Pépère

This evening we received some upsetting news. Steve's grandfather in Florida passed away this afternoon. Pépère was very well loved by all who know him. The past few months his health was failing. He basically wasn't himself anymore. Pépère was the head of a very large family and he made sure his children and grandchildren were always taken care of. Christmastime was always a favourite time to get together with the entire family. There was no shortage of stories, laughter, and fun. One of my first memories of Pépère was at Christmastime when after we opened the gifts, everyone had a huge paper ball fight with the wrapping paper.If only we got to spend more time with him. He will surely be missed.
