Tiger Cruise
"
Grandpa left last night to start his journey to Mayport, Florida. There, he will be joining Daddy and together they will sail back up here to Norfolk. We drove Grandpa to the base to board one of five buses, however first we had to wait for the buses to be checked out by a military dog to make sure they were safe. Once the buses left and we were waving goodbye, Tyler started to cry because he missed Grandpa so much. We tried explaining to him that Grandpa was only going away for a couple of days and that he was going to bring Daddy back with him. To help make Tyler feel better, Grandma took us to dinner across the street to Chili's where we had delicious food and a heavenly dessert that we shared together. About an hour later, Grandma received a call from Grandpa saying that his bus was stuck on the side of the road. The bus ran over a dead deer and busted the radiator. The other four buses came back and waited with them. Four hours later, they were back on the road. This morning, Daddy called and said that there was yet another delay. This time they were stuck in traffic due to a bad accident. They were only minutes away from the base. Meanwhile another bus in their group was stuck in Georgia because of a flat tire. What are the chances of all this happening?! Anyway, we are thankful that everyone is safe and uninjured. The "tiger cruise", cruise with civilians on board, is two nights and normally it would only take one day to get here from Mayport, so they will be arriving at the same time on Sunday. Daddy and Grandpa are sure to have a ggggrrrreat time together on the tiger cruise. Our excitement is building up for their arrival!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
