Canadians in Bahrain Camping Christmas Party

Our Canadians in Bahrain group had their Christmas party. We decided it would be great fun to go camping out in the desert, a mix of Canadian/Bahraini tradition. There were four tents in total, including one that had a kitchen with a stove. We started off the event with some games for everyone. We played tug of war and potato sack races. Then we got a surprise visit from Santa!! He sat in one of the tents and handed out gifts to all the kids. Tyler got a race car from him. The remainder of the night was spent sitting around the campfire. It was just like being back home, nice and cozy. We enjoyed traditional Arabic barbeque which was the best I've ever tasted. They had beautifully seasoned chicken, lamb, and beef. The kids all got along so well together. They really had a blast!! It was an awesome event with some really nice people. We are very much looking forward to the next one!!
