First Day in Cape Breton

The first full day were here my mom took us out for breakfast and then we went to do a few errands around town. We came home and then while Nanny and Tyler stayed home, Steve and I went to check our cache we have hidden here since it had gone missing last month. After finding a new spot for it, we went and bought a new container for it and items to put inside. On the way back, we went to look for a few caches and decided to go for a drive to see if the old Pit Pony set was still up. We had a feeling that they had torn it down since the last time we were there. We suspected right! Everything was demolished and still in a rumble. We walked around the site and got a few photos and were thankful that we took photos the first time we were there.
Joe and Marlene invited us over to their house for dinner later that night and since it was going to be a couple of hours before we ate, we decided that now was the time to go to the Tasty Treat. No trip to Cape Breton is complete without several visits to our favorite ice cream eatery. We came back to get my mom and Tyler before going to get our ice cream.

Then it was off to see my brother and his girlfriend for dinner at their house. Marlene had cooked a beautiful dinner that we all enjoyed. It was wonderful catching up with everyone. Tyler had a blast playing with Marlene's daughter, Tristan, and her friends as they are all close in age. After dinner, we went outside for a bonfire in the backyard that Joe had made. The kids, Marlene, and I all made some s'mores. It was wonderful seeing everyone.
