Day 2 Crete Vacation Chania Part 2 & Glass Factory

So, day 2 of our Crete vacation brings us to a trip to the Chania market. Along the way we purchased some natural sponges straight from the driver who picked them. Then at the market we bought some Heather honey and a bag full of cherries that we enjoyed eating while walking throughout the town.We then got in our cars and headed for the local glass factory where we picked up some hand blown glass, a giant fish and Tyler picked out a little vase for when he grows up and gets his own place. After the factory, we had an amazing lunch right on the beach with our friends that we traveled with, the other class mom that I worked with last year and her family. The view was absolutely breathtaking, the green of the sea was like something you would see in a magazine. Later on we went for a drive through the countryside and visited some ancient churches. It was pretty neat walking through and imagining them being in use way back then. Our day ended with a move to our new hotel for the night which surprisingly had an incredible view overlooking Chania harbor. How perfect!! The first photo Tyler took. Pretty cool!!
