Goodbye Nanny, But Not For Long
We left Nanny's house Thursday afternoon to begin our loooonnnggg journey back to Bahrain. We stayed overnight in Halifax at the airport hotel and then woke up bright and early for a 6 a.m. flight to New York.We basically had the same itinerary as we did on the way. We switched airports in New York, had an 8 hour layover and then it was off to Amsterdam. The winds were in our favor and we made it there in 5 short hours. Then from Amsterdam, we headed to Dubai and then finally home. While on the plane we prepared ourselves for jet lag and minimized our sleep which greatly helped us when we arrived home late Saturday night.
The next day I worked on my first cake order. This aided me to keep awake and staying on the Bahrain schedule.
We'll miss Nanny, Uncle Joe and our friends back home, but it won't belong before we'll be calling Cape Breton home. We bought a house just down the road from Nanny!! Tyler will be attending the same school that I attended. It's going to be a great new start for when Steve retires from the military this summer. :)
