Tyler goes to the Hairdresser

For the past while now, Tyler has been in need of a haircut so today was finally the day. I made an appointment with my hairdresser that I always see while home, Amy. Amy has a 4 year old and a small infant, so she is quite familiar with kids. This was good because it was Tyler's very first haircut with a hair dresser. The only other cut he had was with Ute, our neighbour, and he is quite familiar with her.
Tyler first started out wearing a smock like Mommy, except his had dinosaurs on it, however it didn't last long on him before he had pulled it off. We used a towel instead.


Then he started to squirm around on my lap, so Amy suggested that she try and cut his hair standing up on the floor. Well, that worked fine until he wanted to explore her shop. Thank goodness Amy was such a pro that she could work while he moved around and had fun taking the curlers out of her drawers. Amy didn't mind at all, in fact she thought it was more fun. LOL

After Tyler was finally finished with his cut, Amy gave him a comb to take home. It is inscribed with the words 'Our God is an AWESOME GOD!'. Tyler started to comb his hair immediately after she gave it to him. We will definitely be keeping the comb as a keepsake for many years to come. Afterwards, Tyler got to meet Zoe, Amy's adorable 4 year old. She showed him all around the shop and gave him more things to play with.

Amy did a fantastic job on Tyler's hair! He looks very handsome with it cut short. I look at him and I just can't get over how much better his hair looks now.

When we came home, Tyler was exhausted after all the excitement of the day that he laid on the blanket that Grammy had put down for him on the floor.

Steve Update: Steve phoned this afternoon to say that he is still waiting in Kuwait at the airport, but he is still hanging in and doing just fine. He talked to Tyler on the phone too. Tyler gave him some kisses. He misses his Daddy so much! I do too!
