Cover Story

When Steve was asked to go to Alaska to do a series of news stories for the Daily News Update, they also asked him to do an article for the 'All Hands' magazine. All Hands is a U.S. Navy magazine that is published monthly and sent to all the bases in the world. The U.S. has more military bases in the world than any other country.

Prior to this, Steve had no experience writing for a magazine. He has always worked in broadcasting doing video, writing scripts, producing, and directing. This being said, he was a little nervous writing a 10 page article. However his article became the cover story of May's edition and his photos also made the magazine, including the cover photo!

As always, he did a quality job and it shows. Many of his co-workers who have been working at the Naval Media Center for years commented to him on what a great job he did and that they never read such a long piece in the magazine before. The editors of the magazine must have really liked his story to keep most of his work in there. Usually most of the story is cut down and changed so much that when it reaches publishing, it is a totally different product. Awesome job, Steve!!!! We are very proud of you!!!!
