Off to A Flat Start

FLAT TIRE. This is how our day started out. So while Steve and Kelly put the spare on, Charmaine and I took the little guys for a little walk around the neighbourhood. Then we all piled into the car and headed off to Sam's Club where they were the only place that had Steve's tire size. We shopped for a bit then went for a walk down the street. Finally after the car was ready to finished we decided it wasn't too late to head down to D.C. and get in some museums before they closed. It was exciting to see the looks on their faces when we finally reached the National Mall after getting off the Metro. Charmaine had a blast taking lots of photos. The first stop we wanted to make was the National Museum of the American Indian. This was a first visit for Steve and I as well and we really enjoyed the exhibits. Then it was off to the National Museum of Air and Space. We've been here a few times before, but we never tire of visiting it. Before we knew it, it was getting late and we had to make our way back to the subway station to head home and put our little guys to bed. They ended up falling asleep on the way home, which was nice because all we had to do was put them in their beds and we could actually have an adult conversation without being interrupted a million times. Even though it was a rough start to our day, it ended up quiet for us.
