Fossil Finds
After a full day of yard work, Steve thought it would be nice to unwind the day by going to a nearby beach that we haven't been to yet. A co-worker had been asking about the park associated with the beach and so Steve wanted to check it out for him. We also noticed that there was a cache at the beach that we haven't done yet.
The cache is part of a special series called 'Earth Caches' where you discover something in particular associated with geological formations of the earth. The earth cache that we found on Saturday had to do with fossils. The main requirement was to find five different types of fossils on the beach.

When we first arrived, Steve and I didn't find anything, but after a 15 minute search we began to find an abundance of fossils, most of which were made from shells.
My friend Christine used to take me fossil hunting out in Mira Gut, so our experience on Saturday really brought back fond memories of back home.We hiked a total of 4 miles that afternoon and after a full day's worth of yard work, we were quite tired when we arrived back home.
