Thursday marked the final day of combat training. We spent the first half of the day on a land navigation course. Using a compass and map , we plotted various points and then headed out to find them. It was rather simple for the experienced geocacher. After lunch we had our final training evolution. We boarded five humvees and headed down a dirt road through various checkpoints and assaults. The convoy arrived in a small village where we were attacked by insurgents. We had to enter and clear houses, attend to casualties and keep from getting shot. It was fun and exhausting all at the same time. In a few days we will be departing for Kuwait

where we will meet our contact and prepare to move into Iraq.
