Catalone Gut
Despite the name, Catalone Gut is actually really pleasant. We thought it would be fun to gather some rocks on the shoreline and just take in the beauty of it all.
Tyler was happy to wear his rubber boots this morning and enjoyed a nice walk along the coast. He had a blast just picking up rocks and drawing in the sand with a stick.
Grammy found lots of pretty rocks to show Tyler and she explained to him all about them. As we showed him the rocks, he would touch them and talk about them and sometimes he would say "Ohhh", as always he was so cute!
There was one rock inparticular that Grammy found. It looked a lot like a dinosaur head. You could make out his mouth, eye and ear. We liked it so much that we decided to take it back home with us. Dino is going to live in Grammy's yard now for Tyler to see everytime he comes to visit. We'll tell him all about our adventure today as we show it to him again when he gets older.
It was such an incredible day today. It was just the right temperature, sunny skies and the smell of the oceam just made you want to stay there all day, however we were unprepared for a day's visit; so we will have return again another day. When we came home, Grammy noticed a little golden lady bug on her sandal when she was out in the backyard. It was really pretty and we had never seen a bug quite like it before. If anyone knows what kind it is, please let us know.
Steve Update: It was the last day of training and so they were moved from their training area to another base. This base had several 24 hr fast food franchises, such as KFC, McDonald's and Pizza Hut. At the time of his call, he was eating at the Pizza Hut because they were so busy getting settled back in that they missed dinner at the chow hall. They moved into a tent that had a lot more people than the last base. Steve said he was doing fine, but he said he was very tired and will be extremely tired by the time this is all over with. I feel so sorry for him :(
