Tyler's class made pumpkins at their Thanksgiving Class party. However, after Tyler was finished his, he decided to put it on his head. Of course, his other classmates found that funny and they started doing the same thing. Here is what Tyler wrote on his hat that he was thankful for:
1) My toys so I can play.
2) My bus driver for driving me to school.
3) My teacher for teaching me.
4) My friends for playing with me.
5) My parents for giving me food.
6) Food for when I am hungry.
7) My cat for staying in my bed at night.
8) My family.
9) My grandparents.
10) My school.
11) My home for a shelter.
12) Water for a drink.

Our Thanksgiving Day
So this morning we had to deliver a cake and then right after that, Steve had to go to work. Tyler and I ended up going with him so we could all be together today. The base was having their Thanksgiving meal and of course, Steve had to take photos for the newspaper. We decided to take part too since it was free and it was lunchtime, and because our turkey at home was still very much frozen after thawing off in the fridge for 4 days!
It was our first time having Thanksgiving on base and it will be the last. LOL I honestly don't know how these sailors can eat this food. Steve said he lost a lot of weight while he was ship duty and I can see why. I feel sorry for the sailors having no choice but to eat the stuff they serve. It was by far the worst food I've ever eaten. Even Tyler came home with a sore belly. We can't complain too much, it was free after all.
After we finished eating, we got in the golf cart and went all around the base helping Steve deliver the newspapers. It was great fun. We even got to go over the new bridge for the first time. Steve gave us the grand tour. Tyler was happy to sit up front in the golf cart.
Then we came home, and I started prepping for tomorrow's Thanksgiving meal. Better late then never, right? My mouth and tummy are all set to go!! Can't wait!! Remember, it's not about the food we eat on Thanksgiving, but rather the people we share it with. And always remember to be thankful everyday, we have so many blessings.

Look Who Came
Tyler went to go get dressed this morning and came running back downstairs excitedly saying that the elf came back last night!! He had been corresponding back and forth with the elf for about a month now through notes. The last note from the elf said that Santa said he could come to visit only when Tyler cleaned up his playroom. Apparently, that happened yesterday and so the elf got the ho ahead from Santa. It's the same elf from last year. It's nice to see him back. Tyler was reminded to be on his best behavior while the elf was around since he is here to report to Santa.

New, but old Cacher
After caching his whole entire life with us, Tyler finally has his very own geocaching account. He is now known as "CacherTS". It's amazing how much he loves the sport so much after all this time. Each weekend he asks whether or not there is an event or if we can grab a few. Today we went out in the desert and found four, marking his very first under his own name. He is very excited!!

Extra Long Weekend for Tyler
Sunday, Monday and Tuesday were part of a Muslim holiday here in Bahrain thus Tyler had no school for those days. It was nice having him home with me. Here he is distributing movie tickets to his pals. Three movies were played that day: The Croods, Turbo, and Home on the Range. He gave me and a few of his favorite buddies, VIP seating.

Visiting from Virginia
Tyler's friend's mom and our neighbor from Chesapeake was in Bahrain for work. Colin and Tyler would play together practically everyday and sleep over each other's places all the time. Even though Colin couldn't come with his mom, it was a delight to see her and meet for dinner last night. We took some photos so she could show Colin and Tyler even made him a few hilarious videos. We'll be seeing them again after we leave here and go to process out of the Navy.
